In the middle of an impeachment trial for allegedly committing a variety of crimes, Central Intelligence Agency director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) arranges for her former assassins Yelena (Florence Pugh), Walker (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) to meet in a room and kill each other off, but instead three of them - along with human guinea pig Bob (Lewis Pullman) - escape, form their own "squad" (which they name after Yelena's youth soccer team) and make Valentina their main target.  Even by Marvel Studios "standards" the plot of this is particularly vapid, which makes the emphasis in the latter half of it on "mental health" issues to be terribly out-of-place (considering it's still a popcorn movie), although the cast does try its best, from generational talent Pugh as a troubled killer, David Harbour as her limo-driving, Zangief-like father and Sebastian Stan reprising his role as the stoic Winter Soldier.  It's trying to be "off-beat" as well - these characters are described as "defective losers" - except when Bob has his powers unlocked and starts floating around, I couldn't help but be reminded of how much better the Amazon series The Boys does with satire.  Also, is Valentina supposed to be a stand-in for Tulsi Gabbard?
